Safety is a Right

A documentary about the struggles of a labor union, Laborers’ Local 79, manifests a rally held on June 27, 2017. Their fight for worker’s safety on construction sites has been ongoing for years, whereas this short video captures some of those moments. During time spent in Columbia School of Journalism New York, with Rhon G, Christina Li and Lenny Anselmo, this piece was created to help share a message with the world about the rights of the construction labor community in New York City.
